Thailand International Swan Boat Races

Visitors and locals alike can enjoy the swan boat races and associated activities in person or via live broadcast at www.tourismthailand.org. Races will be held in two categories, the International Swan Boat Race (22 paddlers) and the Traditional Thai Long Boat Races (30 and 55 paddlers).

The Bang Sai Royal Folk Arts and Crafts Centre is one of the finest places in the entire kingdom to purchase Thai handicrafts and souvenirs, watch unique cultural presentations, and witness a fun event that has made a big splash with tourists and visitors alike.

The swinging ceremony is conducted for the mature crops waiting to be harvested. It is also for commemorating and honoring women. The ceremony is observed for 4 days.

Day 1 – ancestral worshipping ceremony.
Day 2 – setting up of the large swing and starting of the swinging ceremony
Day 3 – worshipping ancestors, celebrating and dancing
Day 4 – swinging and closing ceremony

Each year, mountain bikers gather at one of Thailand’s most scenic dams for a series of mountain bike races and other fun activities.

For more than five years, this Thailand mountain biking event has attracted both locals and overseas visitors to test their biking skills and enjoy a healthy pastime.

Backing the event are the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Sports Authority of Thailand. Created to promote an interest in outdoor sports and also encourage ecotourism at both national and international levels, these Thailand mountain biking races underscore the beauty of Tak province, particularly the attractive scenery that surrounds one of the country’s largest dams.
